Ursula sighed sadly as she sat on the steps outside her apartment. She knew it was stupid for her to think she ever had a chance with Peter, but she had a right to dream. Her dream was over, now that Peter had married MJ. Sure she liked Mary-Jane but she was also envious of her as well. She was 19 years old and she had never had a real boyfriend. Was she destined to be alone for the rest of her life? Why couldn't someone love her like Peter loved Mary-Jane?
The young girl gasped as she heard someone jogging up the stairs and almost forgot how to breathe as she saw who rounded the corner.

He was gorgeous. Curly brown hair with streaks of gold in it and the chiseled face of an angel. The man slowed his pace as he began to come up the flight of stairs on which she sat. He smiled warmly at her and Ursula was sure her heart had stopped and she had died and gone to heaven. She was surprised when he walked over to Peter's door and knocked loudly. "Hey Pete open up," he called.
Somehow she found her voice. "He isn't home, he left about 20 minutes ago." The man frowned "He needs to start calling me before he decides to ditch, a simple 'I gotta better things to do than hang out with you' would do," he said sarcastically and Ursula couldn't help but laugh. He smiled at her and she blushed "So what's your name?" he asked. "Ursula, what's yours?" she said timidly. "Name's Harry, nice to meet you."

They ended up talking all afternoon much to her surprise. He generally seemed interested in what she had to say and they had many things in common. "I hope I'm not keeping you from anything," he said as he stretched out his legs onto the stairs and leaned back on his hands. "N-no, I don't have anything to do, I don't really have any friends," she stammered and blushed. "Why's that?" he asked. "I don't know," she said softly. "Sorry," he said. "It's ok," she said. They fell into a comfortable silence and Ursula found that she couldn't stop glancing over to his handsome features. He grinned at her "See something you like?" he asked teasingly. "I-I'm sorry I didn't mean to stare, I'm sorry," she said frantically afraid she had begun to frighten him off. "It's alright I was only playing with you," Harry said. "Oh." The silence fell again but this time it was awkward and again she couldn't help but glance at him every now and again. "Um I should go, I have to cook dinner for my parents," she said as she stood from her place on the stairs. "Oh alright, well maybe I'll see you later then," Harry said as she began to quickly make her way back to her apartment. "I'd like that," she said before she opened the door and hurried inside. She closed the door before leaning back against the old wood and putting her head in her hands, when she closed her eyes she saw him.

Harry smiled as he got into his car and started the ignition. As he drove he found that he couldn't stop smiling and he wondered if it was because of his 4 hour talk with Ursula. She was a sweet and pretty girl, a bit awkward in her own skin but he found that he thought that was cute. He knew he shouldn't be thinking of this girl as pretty and cute seeing as he had sworn off women for awhile after a bad break-up with Gwen Stacey but this girl intrigued him to no end and he was dying to learn more about her.

2 days later and Harry found himself sitting in a coffee shop waiting for Peter who was late as usual. But Harry couldn't blame him after all who knows what could happen if Spider-Man took a 30 minute coffee break? The whole city could burst into flame. "Sorry I'm late," Peter said as he quickly found his friend and sat down across the table from Harry. "Don't worry about it," Harry said dismissing the subject with the wave of his hand. "So what's new with you?" Peter asked. Harry looked down absent mindedly at his coffee. "Nothing," he mumbled. "I don't even need my Spidey scense to know that's a lie," Peter said and Harry sighed in defeat. "I think I might like a girl." Peter frowned "I thought you said you were taking a brake from dating?" Harry shrugged "I know it's just...I can't get this girl out of my head," Harry said. "Well what are you gonna do?" his friend asked. "I'm not sure," Harry said. "Ask her out, what's the worst that could happen?" Peter said enthusiastically. "Ever the optimist Pete." "I have to have something to keep me going," the other man said. Harry chuckled before taking a sip of his coffee and he made up his mind that he would ask Ursula out the next day.

Ursula had been surprised when Harry had called her to see if she would like to go with him to dinner on Saturday night. She had quickly said yes and he laughed at her enthusiasm. They talked for another hour before Mr. Dtkovich began to complain about the phone bill. She said goodbye and when she went to sleep that night she dreamt of Harry. He showed up at her apartment at a quater to 7 Friday night and when she opened the door she was surprised to see him wearing very neat and expensive clothing. It was very different than his T-Shirt, Jeans, and flip-flops from 5 days earlier. They arrived at the resturant that was to her horror an expensive Italian resturant and even though she was wearing one of her best Sunday dresses she still felt under dressed and awkward. Harry seemed stiff and their conversational was minimal. Once out of the resturant he was talkative and fun again and Ursula wasn't quite sure what to make of everything that had occured. "You alright?" he asked as he drove back to her apartment. "Yes, fine," she said quietly. "I'm sorry if I wasn't very fun tonight," he said after a while. "O-oh it's alright," she said "Although, I like it when you aren't acting so stiff." He pulled up outside of her building and he walked her up to her apartment. "Thank you for tonight, goodbye," she said as she quickly entered the apartment and shut the door. Harry sighed and sat down on the stairs, feeling like the biggest idiot in the world.

The next day Ursula was shocked to see Harry sitting on the steps, waiting for her. His dress was casual unlike the night before and he had a grin on his face. "How about a fun date this time?" he asked. The had parked Harry's car in a parking garage before they began wandering around the city. They walked into several different shops and had hot dogs for lunch. Ursula couldn't quite believe what was happening to her. She had finally found a man who was interested in her who handsome, smart, funny, and wanted to spend time with her. It all seemed to be too good to be true. "Hey a record shop, you wanna check it out?" he asked. She nodded her head and he grabbed her hand, intertwining there fingers as he led her gently into the store.

"Aww I love this song," Harry said as "Smooth" came over the speakers in the small record store. Ursula giggled as Harry began to sway to the music as he looked through the CDs. He turned to her and grinned "May I have this dance?" She gasped and began to stammer slightly about not knowing how to dance. "It's ok just follow my lead," he said as he grabbed her hands and began to dance. She followed his lead, giggling and blushing the whole time as he sang along to the lyrics.

The two lay underneath a tree in the park. Harry's head lying on her stomach, a smile plastered onto his face. He glanced up at the blond and couldn't help but think that he was falling in love with her. He had only known her for a short time but he felt a special connection to her. She brightened his day and even though she knew he was rich she had refused any offer to buy her something other than food. How could anyone not love this timid blond angel? He sighed when he felt hesitant fingers begin to massage his scalp. "So did I do a better job this time around?" he asked, his voice lazy and deep. " Yes thank you very much," Ursula said softly. She knew she was in love with him there was no way she couldn't be. Problem was, she was sure he didn't love her

"Who are you?" Ursula wasn't sure what to do when she saw her father standing in the doorway. "I wait for Parker, I get my daughter with strange boy, now tell me who you are." Harry gave his name and glanced at Ursula for some sort of help. "Daddy he's my boyfriend," she blurted and gasped as she realized what she had said. "Boyfriend? No boys as friends I tell you this, get in room," her father said as he eyed Harry suspiciously. Ursula reluctantly did as she was told and stole one last glance back at Harry before disappearing inside the apartment. "You're that rich Osborn, whty you toying with my daughters heart?" the older man asked. "I'm not toying with her heart I assure you," Harry protested. "Go and chase rich women, leave my daughter alone to be with someone who will care for her." "Sir, I do care for your daughter, I love her," Harry said realizing it was true. Mr. Ditkovich's eyes widened "Leave, do not come with your nonesense, never see Ursula again." With that the older man stormed into the apartment and slammed the door shut. Harry slumped to the floor.

He went back to the park and lay under the tree that just an hour ago had shaded he and the woman he loved. His heart was breaking again. How was it possible to fall in love with someone in the span of 7 days? But there he lay, spread out on the ground as he stared up at the blue sky through a canopy of branches and for the first time he felt totally alone.

He lay there for hours and he knew he should leave before it got dark but he couldn't bring himself to move. "Harry?" He had to be dreaming. But as he looked up from his place on the ground he saw her running towards him, a smile on her face. "Ursula?" he stumbled to his feet and she stopped in front of him. "What you said, back at the apartment...w-was it true?" she asked, her face fushed and hopeful. "Everyword," he said in a daze. Tears formed in her eyes and he stepped forward to comfort her, not sure what he'd done to upset her. "Why?" she asked. He wiped her tears away "Because you're beautiful, sweet, funny, strong, and you make me feel like I'm a better person when I'm around you." She leaned into his comforting touch and she felt safe with him so close. "I love you," she whispered. Slowly he leant down and kissed her tenderly.
