Kitteh Surgery!

Aug 31, 2007 15:14

This week has been absolute HELL (sleep deprivation, no car A/C, 2 friends had deaths in their immediate families, Mr. Gordon had a heart attack- he's okay...)

The silver lining:

I got to assist with a kitty spay this morning, and she was adorable! White-and-black, about 6-8 months old. Her name is Snow. I lurve her. Luckily, she did wonderfully and returned to the rescue today.

Surgeries to date: So far I've done 18 cat neuters, 1 dog neuter, 1 dog spay, 1 iguana neuter, 1 ferret neuter and scent-gland removal, radio-transmitter implantation in a snake, 3 shell repairs on turtles, and one enucleation and one aural abscess surgery on turtles. I think that's it so far. I hope to gain experience during my time at a shelter during my fourth year. Perhaps I'll find the time to volunteer at the shelter one weekend, but then again perhaps not...
