Saving photos/pictures.

If I have a photo/pic saved as a .bmp file, how do I 'convert' it to something better, like a .jpg file?

Open it in something like Microsoft Paint and then do a save as - that is how I do it anyway!

Thank you. I *always* forget about MS Paint. (Could I use that to re-size pics too?)

You can but it is usually a bit fiddly
