This afternoon I see my Chiropodist. She's really nice and I've been seeing her (er, on a feet-kinda--level) for ages. We always have a good chat and I genuinely look forward to seeing her.
As you'd expect we have spoken before about books, reading etc. and I inevitably mentioned Bookcrossing. I gave one of the (IMO horrible) BC Bookmarks, and left my screen-name etc. on there (albeit very untidily), and explained about it as best I could - which is normally not very well.
Anyway, I also mentioned to her about my favourite book since joining BC, The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time by Mark Haddon
http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/1733486 Now here's the question.......... I've been thinking of lending her my copy of it.
Should I? Shouldn't I? Am I being a bit presumptuous just turning up today and saying "Here, read this"?
I'm not overly-concerned about getting it back. After all, it's only a book and can be replaced.
Should I just forget it?

Well in the end I just said sod it - though not to her - and took it with me anyway. I mentioned it and she accepted it nicely enough.
And, I mentioned that I'm currently reading The Time Traveler's Wife (I only started it yesterday I think), and she said she'd read it and is probabbly one of her all-time favourite books.
