I got thai food and saw Bridesmaids with Amy on wednesday. hurray! good food and the movie was hilarious. I was pleasantly surprised.
I was a little bother when Kristen Wig's character (who owned a failed cake shop) was baking and used a liquid measuring cup for flour and stirred sugar and flour together with a wooden spoon. buuuuh liquid measure=/= dry measure and use a mother fucking whisk for dry ingredients! *snaps*
Amy and I got to the theater way early so we were sitting in the lobby chatting and omg LA! I kind of yelled to get her attention then DERP there was Tyler (ex bf for new friends) with her. HURRRR I haven't seen him since I broke up with him.... five years ago? Ironically he looked exactly as I remembered him... right down to the windbreaker pants and dansko clogs (yeah idk)
I believe I had a purple mohawk the last time he saw me. LA told me later he didn't recognize me.
But yeah. wierd to see Tyler AWESOME TO SEE LA omigah
Nick and I saw Neko Case at the Music farm on Friday. Pretty good. I'm not a huge fan but Nick is.
Neko looked like she didn't want to be there. That might be because lots of signs asking not to film or take pictures people were.... a lot. She actually stopped in the middle of a song and scolded someone. ha
When I see a show at the music farm or some other venue that's going to be pretty crowded and/or not have much seating I do not bring a fucking purse. I leave my purse in the car.I leave my cell phone in my purse. I can go two hours without texting, making a call that I wouldn't be able to hear or checking facebook. I bring my id, lip balm and some cash. all go in my pocket or if I don't have pockets my bra or Nick's pockets. Huge HUGE bulky purse? what is that shit? Bitches are taking up enough room for another person to stand with those things. if you need a purse for your coke and pills or whatever bring something small that isnt going to smack people every time you move.
And the phones and taking pictures of live shows? how are these people even enjoying the music?
I would rather watch a show distraction free and enjoy the music than take a hundred blurry photos. Never have I seen someone post pictures they took at a concert on facebook and felt even a twinge of desire to look at them.
But I guess I haven't been to many shows. WHAT DO I KNOW
I don't even know what happened today.
Mom and I went to GDC to look at couches. Somehow we ended up buying a couch...or rather mom bought me and Nick a couch. for like $1800. It was a nice ass couch but idk how i let mom spend that much on our first couch. I told her to cancel the order tomorrow.
GDC is so nice and it smells good and everything is so pretty and fucking expensive.
Looking at couches on Ikea. Tidafors, Kivik and Ektorp are all nice and about half the price of the stuff at GDC
