ACT XVIII. Fuckin' Bullshit
I really like how on comicvine.com all the Crow information is about the movies.
Excuse me, I thought it was called COMICvine.com instead of shittymovievine.com.
I figured of all places, those losers would know that THE CROW WAS A COMIC BOOK.
And they act like the movie came first, like that was the original fuckin' story but they're assholes and they don't know what they're talking about.
I get really pissed about this, if you haven't noticed.
My boyfriend gets scared when I start getting angry about The Crow.
And when I wear wigs apparently. But that's another story.
Why the movie sucked:
1. In the movie, they tried to make the reason Eric and Shelly were killed a part of some big crime plot when the whole reason the comic was so sad was because it was a RANDOM act of violence causing the greatest love and passion a man had ever felt to be RIPPED AWAY. These little details are VERY IMPORTANT or you MISS THE MARK.
2. Everything obscurely Crow-related that I do, no one gets. I was The Crow for Halloween in tenth grade and I wanted to be really authentic, you know...bullet shells tied in my hair, scar across the bridge of my nose, every detail. And then of course SOME JOCK had to be like, "What're you supposed to be?" And I was like, "The Crow, dickmunch." And he was like, "What's that thing on your face?" And I was like, "When Eric was shot, fragments of his skull traveled across his face, blinding him in one eye." And he paused and then he said, "that didn't happen in the movie."
3. The soundtrack was actually pretty good. Violent Femmes, Rage, Pantera, The Cure...the only problem with it was that the only Joy Division song was a NINE INCH NAILS COVER. Oh, god. Come on, people. Seriously. It's The Crow, and there are no Joy Division songs on the soundtrack? Just kill yourself.
So yeah. Stupid goth kids who like The Crow movie because it's dark and brooding and rock and roll like your souls, shut the fuck up.
The real story is about true love, the loss of it and the lengths taken to MAKE SURE that the douchebags responsible PAY.
You better hope that shit NEVER, EVER happens to you.
But when it does, and you read The Crow, you will understand. I promise.
