i was watching cartoons (or batman, maybe?) when the scroll came across the bottom of the screen. elvis. dead. 42.
my top 5 elvis songs:
1) suspicious minds
2) don't be cruel
3) burning love
4) jailhouse rock
5) crying in the chapel
but many more are cool (and some- especially from the movies- are cheesy)
there are only 2 really good elvis movies (both are in black and white and made before he joined the army):
king creole (w/ carolyn jones and walter matthau)
jailhouse rock (w/ a cutie named judy tyler)
the rest can get pretty cheesy. but viva las vegas and speedway are both seeing, if not for a young ann-margret and nancy sinatra, respectively.
