Why am I doing this?

I don't particularly enjoy writing. I've never owned a journal I could make myself update regularly. And I probably shouldn't write what really goes through my head sometimes, as it'd just be too depressing/whiny. Still, there are some communities I want to be a part of, if only as a lurker. And I've always been one for jumping on the bandwagon, even if I tend jump off within a couple of weeks.

And if I'm sounding a bit bleak, keep in mind that I'm away from my friends for the summer, and that always has a depressing effect.
