Heading to the inauguration

Jan 16, 2009 17:59

Just leaving work now for a five-day weekend in DC to see the inauguration. Excitement! I don't have a ticket, though Aaron does. We're carpooling with David and Sharon in their nice big van.

This week I got my floors refinished, so I have been living at Jasen and Gretl's place in the meantime while they're in India. It's odd living in someone else's house. It's even stranger when they aren't there! The floors look great. We'll move the furniture back in when we get back from DC. Right now it's all stacked up in the kitchen.

I have been getting home late recently because I just got promoted to team lead at work. Now I still have all my usual programming responsibilities plus extra meetings and having to coordinate people. It's pretty scary, but I think I'm up to the challenge. :)

Today is really cold so I am taking the train. It seems like the only time I actually update my LJ. I'm trapped alone with my iPhone and no Internet... write a journal entry!
