Drowning in a sea of love / Where everyone would love to drown

I figured I should update with something less depressing and/or emo. :)

Let's see... what to tell.

Last night I played Halo 2 w/ Gregor, Ian, and Ron, whilst Doug messed around on his computer. I shot them all in the face!!! And multiple times. I wasn't doing so well at first... but in the last game we played, I got 21. 21!!! It was 25 to win. And I was ahead of Gregor for a while! Now, sure, part of that might be that Ron's character was in the game even though he wasn't there to play it... and so we got to kill him with no resistance... but still! I normally only got 4 or less kills. I'm proud of my improvement.

And now Trav is making fun of me on Facebook for playing video games on Friday night. hahaha

Later, Ron picked up Carrie and they bought us all pizza!!!! It was fantastic. Mmmmm. I love me some pizza.

Went to Rocky Horror at the IMA on July 24! And it was awesome. Met up with Lauren, Shane, Gregor, and Sasha, and we had a blast. Or, at least, I did. :) We weren't able to play games or even really talk, because the music was so loud before the movie, but that was kind of cool eventually, because the guy played a little Michael Jackson medley and the crowd all moved down to the main floor and a dance party ensued. It was pretty awesome. Then, finally, came the movie. I think everyone enjoyed it. Even the virgins. (The boys were all Rocky Horror virgins, in the TRUE sense of having never seen it at all.) And Lauren was a live showing virgin. I'm a good friend and didn't turn them in. :)

Saw 500 Days of Summer on I believe July 30 w/ Gregor. I got all dressed up in my skirt and tights, in honor of Zooey. Awesome movie, btw!!! Outstanding, really. I finally decided that I would've been 100% on board w/ the entire movie if they had switched the blind date actress with the architect actress. I was just thrown off by him "ending up" with Miss Thang. I wasn't a fan. But other than that, everything worked really well, and I was ready for Zooey and Joe to not get together in the end. (It helps to know in advance that it won't happen.)

I invited myself over to Gregor's last weekend to watch Penelope. Well! He made the mistake of telling me he was watching it. Of COURSE I would demand to watch it with him, as I am obsessed with that movie right now. So that was fun, and then I mooched off of him for pizza, breadsticks, and Mountain Dew. Which I'm a jerk and barely drank, after I told him that's what I wanted. I should've just said I'd drink my water. Word to the wise!!!! I don't drink very many liquids. I know it's bad for me, but I just never think about it. It's weird. And thus, I took a few sips and then left him w/ the rest of a 2 liter. I'm a bad person. (Sidenote: he did owe me for buying pizza on Big Bang Theory marathon night, so I didn't ENTIRELY mooch. I just say that because... I don't know. I just do. :)

As you can see from the current music, I'm listening to Fleetwood Mac this morning. What a wonderful way to wake up!!!!!! Seriously. I am loving this weekend, now that I'm over my grumpy-butt mood that I woke up with after my overnight at work. I believe that's when I posted that "everyone would be better off if I was dead" entry. Sorry about that. Normally I try to keep such thoughts inside these days. BOTTLE IT ALL UP.

Some big time family drama is going on right now, and it sucks big time. Not sure what's going to happen. But it's sad, and indirectly directly affects me. I know that sounds like it doesn't make sense, but it does.

But I don't want to go into that, because ONE it's private, and TWO this is a happy entry. :)

The state fair has started!!! I'm hoping to work it out to go with Christy again, like last year, but she's having some issues w/ work and money and such, so we'll see what happens. In any case, I'll find some way to go with SOMEONE before it's over. Last year was such a great time... I want to repeat it.

In closing, I woke up with the Clueless theme song in my head this morning.

movies, trav, rocky horror, game night, movie night, state fair, family, ima/newfields, christina, gregor
