Laura, from Kohl's, called me today and re-offered me the Shoe Specialist position, for $9/hr. And I accepted.
So I will be starting on July 7th, probably in the morning, and moving into my apartment on July 8th. Not sure how that's going to work, since I will probably be working that day. But I'm going down to sign paperwork, etc. on Friday afternoon, so I can talk to them about that then. See if maybe I can work out some sort of not-working-that-day arrangement, just for this one time.
Anyway, here are the details:
- I will work 40 hours a week, most of which will be 9am-5:30pm, but occasionally I will be working evenings.
- I will have every Thursday off.
- I will have every other weekend off.
- I get full-time benefits (the details of which will be revealed to me on Friday)
- I still get my Cali vacation from the 15-23, and she moved our overnight shoe set to the 24th to accommodate.
Everything actually worked out for me. I'm finally moving to central IN. Finally getting to be out on my own. And finally having a full-time job, and a challenging one, at that.
It's pretty exciting, and a little scary. But I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Now I have to get started on the process of packing up all of my belongings. And I have a lot of stuff. And nothing all that exciting, either. Just a lot of random stuff.
Anyone wanting to or willing to help us move my massive loads of schtuff, let me know! We appreciate all the help we can get.
