That's good, bad, and mediocre... J-A-N-E-T I love you so-oh-ohhhhhhhh...
So I officially moved in with Cara and Julie last night. I forget when the last time I wrote was... Wed. night? Thursday? Hmm... well in any case, yesterday I turned in my paper at 11, got lunch, worked on my internship project, turned that in, sat around on my rear watching videos on youtube for a few hours, then went to Cara's to take some stuff, then we got Chinese, where...
We were standing waiting for our food and, who should walk in but KYLE, ANNA, AND TREVOR. Who I haven't seen in what seems like ages, cause I haven't been over to see Trav much and they usually aren't there. So Anna BUSTS IN THE DOOR and RUNS OVER TO ME and ambushes me w/ a huge hug. It was pretty incredible. I do love my Peppy. Sometime we need to ACTUALLY hang out. And soon. I miss them.
So then we got our food and left and went back and got a VHS tape from my room and then went back here to Cara's apartment and watched the episode of The Office from a couple weeks ago that I had on tape and then we watched the hour-long Christmas episode together. After that, I went back to my room and finished moving out and came back for the night. They all ended up going to bed early, so I sat around watching TV and talking online on Cara's laptop (which I'm on right now).
Today, I woke up around 10 and got around... and then I went and got Subway while Cara ate leftovers... and then we went to Indy. I drove, and throughout the trip we bonded while listening to Arrah and the Ferns (she loved them), Jimmy Eat World (we found our song, but at the moment I don't remember which one it is...), Panic! at the Disco (we both are obsessed), and Chantal Kreviazuk (she was curious). First, we drove downtown and were on our way to Mass Ave. when I got distracted by talking and missed the street I needed to turn on, so I ended up driving past the Harrison Center (where I worked this summer) and realized they would be in cause it was the afternoon on a Saturday, and since Cara's an art major I thought she might like to go see it. So she said that'd be fine and so we went in and I got to see Joanna, and she like freaked out (I hadn't seen her the night of the Christmas thing, cause she had a party to go to then or something) and introduced me to some potential Taylor interns and said that she had just been talking about me, and said that Mandy is working on next year's IMAF. Which I thought was cool. She's using the work I did to plan it. I felt important... haha. But Cara was standing around awkwardly, which I picked up on, so we went to look at the art and stuff.
I think Cara really enjoyed it. Later we ran into Kyle and so I asked him if we could see his studio, and he said sure in 5 mins so we waited and he let us in and Cara really seemed to enjoy seeing that. I felt good, like I made a friend happy. I don't feel like that too often, cause, well, to put it bluntly... I'm a huge screw-up and I rarely do nice things for people no matter how good my intentions are. (I'm very selfish.)
So after that, we went to Mass Ave. and I showed her Silver in the City, which she liked and we browsed in there for a while. I hadn't even noticed the jewelry side... mainly because I don't care about jewelry... but she seemed to like that side. Then we went to a store across the street, and it was highly boring, so then we went to Starbucks so I could get another lovely hot caramel apple cider to enjoy... (ohhhh so good) and we finally left for Castleton, where we were gonna shop for clothes for Lori's wedding.
We went to the mall, and found basically NOTHING worthwhile. At all. Cara bought some stuff at Bath & Body Works, but that was it. So then we came back to Anderson and had dinner w/ Julie at Panera and then went to Old Navy and Kohl's where we were finally successful. Cara got a shirt and I got some lovely black pants. I won't be super dressed up, cause I'm an idiot and didn't wash the shirt I wanted to wear to the wedding, but it won't be too bad.
After doing all of this, we came back and crashed in front of the TV, watching What Not To Wear and falling asleep. I did some playing around w/ my camera, videotaping our conversation and some other things, and put them on youtube. Then Cara fell asleep and I got on here and... that's where I am now.
Tomorrow, the wedding stuff starts at 3:30 and then we'll prolly be gone til like 9 or 10, what with the reception and all that jazz. Then who knows what we'll do, and then Sunday around noon I'll be packing up and leaving for the north.
I'm getting tired. I'll prolly hit the sack soon.
Farewell, hooligans.
