Sometimes I truly wonder about our administration and it's lack of ability to coordinate programs. Take the new Medicare Prescription Drug Program for example. It's a decent plan, certainly not the best, but it will work for now at least . There are lots of people who need this program, especially since Medicaide will no longer have a prescription program after the Part D of Medicare is initiated. However, there is some scuttlebut on the lower levels that the program may be pushed back several months to an entire year to help pay for the Katrina clean-up. So here we are having to delay a neccessary program so that we will have enough money to devote to helping the south. I'm cool with that and I know it's needed, it just bugs me that we couldn't save some of that money by reducing our presence in Iraq and not spend as many hundreds of billions on weapons we are never going to use rather than keeping the elderly from the prescription help they sorely need. Times like this a National Health System is looking better and better.

So ends this rant.
