An Update!!
Hello again one and all,
Finally an update from the long missing Megan!! Life has been hectic with school, work, and the roommates. I am officially a graduate student, and after my first real day of classes I get the sense I don't belong in the program. The classes are not my focus but I still feel weird in them. Everyone else seemed to have really smart things to say and I just listened. And they were pulling things out that I just wasn't seeing. I didn't understand the first part of Lord Jim, maybe it was that I was reading it while waiting with Carrie at the welfare office. I thought I understood the Ralph Ellison essays, but evidently I didn't. And my entire grade for both of the classes is dependent on a single paper. I feel so clueless, but maybe it will get better. I'm working at a bookstore at the mall in Lewisville, which is not such a bad job. And I'm still living with the roommates that help create a soap opera atmosphere without the men. Someday soon it all won't seem so crazy, but right now it feels like the madness will never end. That's all for now, lots of love to everyone.
