last night i lay awake
thinking of the good times we had
how could ihave been so stupid
as to not see how much you cared?
days and days went by thinking of only you
everywhere i went, you were there
although i tried to give you the slip
you always knew i was near
now i've fallen for another
although things will never be the same
can we not still be the best of friends
you were my love and will always have a special place in my heart
but a new door has opened
it revealed a new special place for her
she knows not how i feel
that should not matter now
love is just a feeling
or is it something more?
