i am so happy omg
Hopefully I will actually have a proper post up soon, but until then, I wanted to note down my past two days because they have been totally awesome. So:
On Thursday, stormantia and aeirol and I drove down to Cincinnati to see Holly Black (blackholly) and Sarah Rees Brennan (sarahtales) give an author talk. It was amazing. Sarah Rees Brennan has always been kind of my hero, and Holly Black writes fantastic books and has great taste in characters. They were both very intelligent, super smart, and absolutely hilarious. The lady at the bookstore who was organizing events was fantastic, and offered to buy us coffee and was basically the most wonderful person ever. Afterwards, we ate cheesecake and played euchre at the hotel, wherein stormantia soundly trounced both aeirol and I.
The next day we bought books which is always the best way to spend one's money. I picked up Foucault's History of Sexuality since I am interested and actually do want to read something that is not YA fiction. Then we went to the Cincinnati museum of art which was cool and I adore art museums so much. Though. God.
Papyrus. Why is it everywhere??
Seriously. It isn't even terribly readable. I just. I thought an art museum would know better but I thought wrong which really should be no surprise. At any rate, we spent about four hours there, headed home through a multitude of half-flooded roads, and sang to Les Misérables. I am the best Javert ever. Broadway should hire me.
I also like, drew stuff, but I drove for roughly four hours today and it is getting late so yeah. I am going to sleep, but it was great and I am super happy. Or supper nappy, which is what I originally typed okay I am going now.
