Got home to find an envelope from the management company for my house.
Dear Ms French,
We are writing in concern to the home you rent from one of our investors. We have suspicions that the owner has not been paying the mortgage on the home, which will soon lead to foreclosure. Although we do not know for sure, we still wanted to give you a warning that this is a strong possibility. In the event of a foreclosure, you would have to move. Your current options are to remain in the home and wait to see if it does go into foreclosure or begin looking for a new place to live.
If you decide to start looking for a new home, we would be more than likely to help you. We have several homes available that we could offer you. Also, concerning your lease expiration, if you do decide to move, we will not penalize you for breaking your lease before term. We are here to help you in any way possible.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
Your Management Company Vice- President
Ah, fuck.
See, I knew there was a reason that I was pathologically resistant to unpacking in this house. I subconsciously knew that this was not going to be my home.
Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuckity, fuck, fuck.
