a plug for DTH
I'm going to do a quick plug for one of my new favorite bands, Downtown Harvest. They're a local Philly band that opened for Ok Go at that free concert I got to go to back in May (i love love love being friends with bands on myspace, it means all kinds of little chances for free things).
FIrst of all, PLEASE vote for them at the Lollapalooza Last Band Standing thing. You can vote with as many email addresses as you have, just make sure you click the confirmation link in the email they send. And you can vote once a day with each email address. They have to be in 5th to move on to round 4, and right now they're at 8th.
If you want to hear more than Something Elephants (which can be played at the Lollapalooza site), some of their songs can be heard here. Personally I definitely recommend Hurry Before Worry, and Alexander Hayes, but this is mostly because those are the ones from the first album, so I know those better. Also a bunch from their first album are available to hear at their website, along with videos. They are amazing live, by the way.
Their music can be bought (if you like what you're hearing) at iTunes, or even at their myspace page.
