One of the things I would like to do once I get a job and have disposable income is find a fat-friendly erotic photographer.  By that I mean someone who knows enough about lighting and staging to make me look as fabulous as I really am without relying on shadows and drapery to hide or minimize my body.  Don't get me wrong -- there's nothing wrong ( Read more... )

I'm like you...I look like crap in pictures, but, people say I'm cuter in person. They say I have a great smile, but, in pictures, it comes across as maniacal looking. I wish we lived near to each other. I've been really wanting to paint a nude and am a little reluctant to ask anyone I know. I'm much rather paint BBW's than skinny-assed, bony women.

Oh gods, a painted portrait would be *awesome*. And it would be in the tradition of the grand masters as well -- those guys knew a luscious body when they saw one, and knew how to treat it right. :)

The photographers are out there; I've seen some work that is truly artistic, erotic, witty, and creative as proof. Where they operate? Ah, that's another thing entirely. I think the social network of various skiffy-related fandoms (trad SF, live media, cult shows, yada-yada) is a good place to start looking for any kind of artist, because folks within those fandoms aren't afraid to push the envelope.

And Google. Google is probably good, too.

I know they're out there somewhere. I'll find one when I can. I'm just hoping someone out there in LJ-land can point me in a good direction. :)

not have any experience with heavy women and proper lighting and what not, all you have to do is ask. I do have some resources I could bring to bear to learn as well.
