I gotta say, I'm really sick and tired of hearing from Hollywood celebrities and the media "You HAVE to vote!"
Oh really? What if I don't like the candidates? What if I don't like the current state of politics in this country? Maybe the message I want to send is that I'm not satisfied with my options, I'm not impressed with the dirty mudslinging and bullsh*t, and until I see things turn around, I'm not gonna waste my time. Maybe I'll just drive right past the Clinton Corners firehouse, head over to Stewarts' and treat myself to a couple of dirty water hot dogs and a high fructose corn syrupy-orange soda, instead.
I'll be honest, if I go vote, it won't be for Obama. At the same time, I'm not sure I'm wild about casting my vote for McCain, either. I don't want to just settle for "the lesser of two evils", as they say. I like Sarah Palin, however, and that has made it easier for me to consider McCain, but she'd only be the vice president. You might as well be Mayor McCheese, because that's about as much as you really amount to when you are VP.
I dunno. I got a couple of weeks to figure it all out.
