Darkdevil, like many New York natives, spent his nights in a constructive and positive manner. That is to say, beating up criminals in a desperate attempt to get information. The weird gang he'd fought recently... Spider-Brat's identity being leaked... it was all making him just a little bit paranoid.

Not to the mention the whole mess with the Avengers. Jeez, that still made him cringe.
