Lovely weather today! Warmish and sunny.
I have yellow crocus and frutinillia blooming. The snowdrops bloomed long ago during the big freeze. Little bits of green are poking up through the ground.
I would love to rake the yard today,k but I pestered with guilt! My mother reminds me that one is not supposed to clean up the yard during Lent or a death inthe family will result. My family is the only place that I have heard this charming saying and historically it sounds ridiculous. Still, it bothers me.
I guess that I am superstious.
A weekend of visiting freinds. I just didn't feel like going out anywhere else. The music is better at my house! Grrr, the bar can be so dull.
Now John is preparing to bar-b-que as he has been longing for this. Stitch is laying outside in the sun.
I have been so unmotivated! House cleaning has been bare minimum only and I can't seem to get myself to do much of anything. On the upside, I appear to be in good comapnay as most people I know complain of the same condition.
Supposedly, work can start on the house this week. We are having the siding, gutters, one awning and vents replaced thanks to insurance money. Later in the spring will come a new roof. So the house will get some much needed spucing up. I have to paint the concrete steps in front and back and then things will look pretty good.
Now I may trek off to the nursery and check out some seeds.
