A busy weekend.
Friday evening, JOhn nad I had dinner with his parents who were in town for the weekend. This is alwys slightly strained. John's family and I get along very well, but they are very stiff, almost formal people. Silliness is not encouraged as it is with my family.
Friday night, I went out with Margie to Outland's new 80's night.
We were very disappointed. I was expecting something more...um..esoteric. Not so much Tears for Fears and such. We took off before the dreaded Men Without Hats might come up. We did dress up totally old school and this was fun.
Saturday morning, John and I had agreed to sit with his very elderly grandmother while his parents attended a funeral. Okay. I fell alseep with heavy make-up and teased hair. Ah, memories.....standing in the shower trying to sandblast my head.
Saturday night, off to the hookah bar with Billy, Aaron and Chris. Sitting outside smoking hooka was so pleasant.
Sunday Edison's 3rd birthday and then John's father's retirement reception. Both were required,and both were boring. The reception was awful as it was packed and we hadn't had any dinner...I don't do well in crowds of strangers. Not a good place to be.
So back to the work week and no holidays in site. Dragging myself to work everyday has got to change. I need an attitude adjustment!
