So, I haven't been on here since January...not that it really makes a difference. Almost nothing has changed, as usual, and I'm still in the same ruts I've been in for the last year. I still love my job, of course, and I love that I HAVE a job in this God-forsaken country, but money is still really tight, and I'm looking for a second job.

There have been ups and downs on the relationship front, but I'm primarily ignoring all of that till I find someone worthy of my attention. Conceited? Probably. But I don't care. Most guys I've met are either pigs or worthless and boring. There are, of course, some that I've been mildly interested in (against my better judgment) for quite some time, but friendship is much more important, even when distance makes that in itself difficult. For now, I'll remain happily and stubbornly single and keep floating till someone with some common sense and a good sense of humour comes along.

I think I'm going to apply to mortuary school for next fall. Screw finances...I need an education I'm actually interested in and a chance to get the hell out of State College. For having several tens of thousands of people, State College is one of the smallest towns I can imagine. Everyone knows everyone's (real or maliciously imagined) business, and it's draining to either spend your time ignoring it or refuting it. Again, not worth it.

I've been playing racquetball CONSTANTLY for the last few months, and I have to say, it's one thing I never thought I'd like or be good playing, but apparently, I'm not too bad. It's good exercise, and good to get aggression out. I do have a slight problem of throwing temper tantrums when I don't do well, though, and, well, my knees are none-too-pretty because of it. I'm trying to curb that, though.

That's all that's been going on with life, I suppose. Everyone I talk to either seems to be deathly ill or pregnant, which is kind of disconcerting, but fun. My best friend up here is pregnant, and I'm so excited for her! I started getting stuff for her (which she tells me not to do), and I'm knitting her a baby blanket. She'll find out what it is in the next few weeks, so that'll be fun. She talked about either Elora (like, from Willow) or Jackson, depending on the sex, and both names are wicked-cute. :)

But that's all. Maybe I'll update sometime before 6 months has passed.
