Well I went to London last Friday and came back on Tuesday. I miss it already. I think going to another city for a wee while made me realise that I'm kind of bored of Edinburgh. Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely city, but I've been here my whole life.

I like Edinburgh because I know that it's a city I could never be lost in, I know everything about it and I'll always bump into someone I know, but it was nice to be anonymous for a while. No one bothers you in London, there were no Yahs (coz they're all here) and no neds (although I would probably miss them). I wasn't surrounded by rich snobby white people, there were black, muslim, european, chinese people, just about every kind of person imaginable. Black girls were going out with white guys and vice versa and people weren't staring at them like they were aliens. People were wearing whatever the hell they wanted. You can do whatever you want in London because chances are you'll never see most people twice.

Every little district in London was like a mini Edinburgh. The shops were fucking excellent. I absolutely loved the tubes. I'll get paid more for being a nurse. I know big cities aren't for everyone, but I completely took to London and can definately see myself living down there in the very near future.

Only downside to London - being surrounded by English people. Who can't understand what I'm saying.
