new kitchen
Well- most of the new kitchen is in. The fridge sticks out about 2 feet. We have to cut some trim off the cupboards to get it to fit.
I don't like the new dishwasher- I feel the older one, which had nothing wrong with it but it was pretty much free in the bundle pack we bought, is not as good BUT something weird happened that makes it worth it in the long run:
Derek can tell you more because he was here but he hasn't posted much lately, so I will do the short version.
When they put in the new dishwasher a pipe got jiggled and poured water into our lower level. Bad, right, but the guy and my dad were able to stop it and figured out that the pipe is bad and will need to be replaced. It had nothing to do with the dishwasher instillation, - but if we had not had the dishwasher installed the pipe wouldn't have been bumped and we wouldn't have found out that the pipe was bad.
While this is bad news- we are quite glad that it all happened. Who would have known the pipe was bad till it burst? Not us! So we would have lost a lot of stuff and had major damage to the lower level had we not found it. We are having a plumber come in and fix it.
I like the rest of the stuff and will get used to the dishwasher.
Our house is a mess and we can't put it all together till we get the fridge and pipe in place.
