What happens when your ex wants you back? I am not experienced with these things, but i know karma when i feel it- and the Karma that we have is not through.

i spent the past 5 months on a roller coaster of a relationship where we broke up (he cheated and broke my silly little heart) and then got back together...and then recently broke up again (and again broke my silly little heart). i don't think either of us truly assessed how we came to the point of breaking up the first time - it was just painful to be apart so we came back together. but that whole hindsight/clarity thing would tend to say that we probably shouldn't have...nothing changed so the issues that caused us to be ex's the first time were still around the second time.
so i'd suggest asking yourself "why did we break up the first time?" and "do i have reason to believe things would develope differently this time?" - i recently read a quote by terces engelhart saying "there is only love; everything else is our resistance to it." i'm inclined to agree with rach - that love is always a good path to follow - unfortunately (but also fortunately) love often takes the participation of another...so i'd hope that your other is on the same wavelength as you :)
