yesterday I was walking downtown in the business section of Seattle. I do this some times now that I am unemployed- I dress up in my Sunday best and take business walks where I answer my phone like “This is Stephen, oh… sell that stock and have a report on my desk by 4PM.” It tends to cheer me up. As I was walking this critter came out of an alley way jittering and talking to himself. A critter is a euphamism for a homeless crazy person. I stopped in anticipation for his donation request, but instead he whispered “I’ll suck your dick for a nickel.” It got me thinking about our current economic climate, apparently I’m not the only one suffering. "Buck up critter, you're worth so much more... maybe even five TIMES more than that!" I wanted to exclaim.
It's so true, each of us are worth so much more than a nickel pickle tickle. so much more. maybe even FIVE TIMES MORE.
