Author's Notes: Crack! Crack!! Secondary not-a-prompt of 'Just because nobody was home when you got in the shower does not mean that nobody will be home when you get out. Always use a towel.' from Learn from my Fail Commentfest because I couldn't stop laughing. - This is what happens when I play too long on the AO3. XD

Of all the places Iku had pictured himself being in the future, this was not one of them. The bored, consummate playboy, abandoning the bachelor lifestyle to be with a single girl? Laughable. Marriage and a white picket fence? Impossible. Children? The idea had recently become disgustingly appealing leading Iku to become all the more appalled with himself.

He would need to talk to Tsukiko about getting a cat or such before he did something exceedingly stupid.

Bad enough that the simple act of coming home to an empty house for a quick shower and change before going back to the school for work left him feeling oddly lonely. Iku could only imagine how sappy he would get if they had children. (And there was no way in Hell he was giving Haruki-sensei an opening to become Uncle Haruki.)

Letting loose a low snort, he jerked the tap off with an hard twist. Stepping out of the shower to reach blindly for a towel as he half-heartedly began the process of drying off. Scrubbing disinterestedly at his shaggy hair, Iku slipped his still slightly fogged glasses back on and threw the bedroom door open to go get dressed.

A sharp, familiar squeak of surprise met his ears.

“I-Iku!”

“Tsukiko?” He blinked. “Your class?”

“The professor was sick. It got canceled. Ah, and, I was just going to c-change and make dinner and-”

She continued to babble, stuttering. And, watching his shy, young wife turn a bright undiluted red, eyes averted, Iku gave a slow smirk. Fully aware of the fact that the only towel he had on was the one he was using on his hair, he hummed disinterestedly.

“Oh, I see. That was rather fortuitous.”

It only took a few seconds more for her to finally break.

“Iku!” Giving up all pretenses, Tsukiko buried her face in her hands. “Put something on!”

“I haven't finished drying off yet. Besides,” he chuckled softly, letting the towel fall carelessly to the floor as he finished with his hair. “It isn't as if you haven't seen it before, Tsu-ki-ko-chan.”

Unaware that covering her eyes had the unfortunate side effect of leaving her fully exposed for his advance across bedroom, she shook her head in vigorous denial, stuttering something into her hands that vaguely sounded like 'pants' and/or 'platypus'.

Placing his hands over hers, a gentle tug revealed wide, brown eyes. Tsukiko stared at him in confusion. “Iku?”

“More importantly,” he pouted, eyes dancing mischievously. “You haven't given me my Welcome Home kiss yet.”

“I- That- But, but you were home first!”

“Oh, so I was.” He feigned shock for a brief moment before leaning down, with a wicked grin. “I'll just have to make sure I welcome you thoroughly, then.”
