I've been trying not to post political entries but there's one thing I must say. If Davis is recalled, I hope everyone will have done the right thing, and voted for Cruz Bustamante to replace him. He is the Lieutenant Governor after all, and part of his job is to replace Davis should he be unable to perform his duties as Governor. The very idea

i'm just going to give a healthy nod in the direction of "damn this recall is a scary thing and oh it's so frightening how much of a spectacle this whole mess is and hey, what's so great about booting someone from office if their replacement has been elected by significantly less than the majority anyways?" um... and i won't ever go near that whole "Gubernator" thing. I'm all for circus but this makes me sick.

I am not convinced that the recall will fix anything, nor do i think that that was the agenda of those who proposed it.

i think it's an issue of "DUH" and although i'm sure an opposing legit view can be had and found, there is really something broader, more horrible/ridiculous at stake. i've been unfortunate enough to be an ear to a lot of stupidity relating to this issue lately. most of it is in teh form of televised "news" type stuff. it's having a bad psychological impact on me. the kind that makes me want to skip the country. that kind of "there is no real communication and people are jsut kind of going to keep fighting and killing each other" related sad. it's all broken and i'm voting anyway.

I'm sure redhawke would have pages and pages to say about why the recall would be good for California since he's very well studied in politics.

he's very well studied and very well spoken and that does not mean that i agree with him :)

i hope very much that he and i never have to talk about politics as it is something i take personally and i would very much like to stay friendly, as he is an extremely nice guy and also mary's brother.
