for the record:
grassroots cafe does indeed have posted on their website that they are open til 10pm everyday despite what the slightly snooty lady (who denied us a table at 9pm saying kitchen shuts at quarter to 9) may think.

and i can call her snooty b/c after we left, my pal who i was out with realised she'd forgotten to ask them something, and apparently when she went back in, they'd been talking about us in less than complimentary tones.
after all the negative experiences i've had at that place, i don't know why i keep going back.
sometimes folk are wrong about things. this time, it wasn't me.
