Trick R Treat
This was pure halloween fun. It wasn't the most original or scary but was genuinely enjoyable. In fact, most of the story lines were fairly cheesy but you couldn't help but smile with glee at the gags and gore.
Sherlock Jr
Usually I find silent movies only mildly funny and I have to say, I really found this hysterical. While it weaves and meanders, the gags are genuinely hilarious. i couldn't help but laugh throughout all of it.
Safety Last!
Again this is another silent that I enjoyed a lot. Where it really comes to stride is of course the climax, skyscraper climb. There's very few comedies that actually make me feel suspense. Even though we know that he'll make it to the top of the building, you can't help your heart from jumping each time he slips, only to sigh and giggle once he's safe.
