FIANLLY finished the embroidery for the neckline of the bliaut. There are some spots where the design went wonky but over all I think it looks good.
When I was debating on the neckline I cut out a slit in my fabric to see what I thought and to measure the length… well THAT was silly of me as it made sewing the facing down a major pain. Luckily if nothing else I'm a good problem solver…
Another issue is that due to the slit being along the grain the fabric wants to pull apart so I needed to add a row of stab stitches to reinforce the neck.. I hope they don't show much.
Another ooops is what looked balanced before sewing the neck does not after- so the turning and basting I did for the edge of the facing is not right - I need to make it narrower and redo the tuck under and then hand sew it down…
Eventually I will get to the actual sewing of the dress right?
