A PORT Pirie P-plate driver with four passengers has been clocked at 190km/h in a 100km/h zone by police who said he was also over the blood-alcohol limit.
Police said the man, in his 20s, blew .071 after being caught on Highway One at Port Pirie.
More than 16,000 drivers were tested at the weekend, with 173 motorists reported and seven arrested for drink-driving.
Seven motorists were found to be driving under the influence of drugs.
The highest reading was taken in Whyalla on Saturday night, when a man recorded .256.
