1776 words in to NaNoWriMo and I'm having a love-hate relationship with it already.  More love than hate - I love my idea. I love my plot.  What I wish is that it would work with me.  Already I'm having major "Wait, what just happened there?"  moments.  Let us also mention that I'm pretty certain Jim is majority OOC.  I'm not worried about it - ( Read more... )

Mine is going well. I got the numbers for yesterday and today. So i'm not worried. I don't have anything really planned. other than just writing out a story. So right now it's kind of lame so it's still going. I figure if I like the concept I'll extend, edit..etc.. haha. You?

I like my idea, but as I started out I thought my writing wasn't really serving it well. After the first thousand or so words, though, I started getting a better grasp on things, although I think the movie in my head might not totally get across with my writing skills. Oh well, at least I'll have some version on paper! Can't do much with just pictures in my head!

I'm actually a bit worried about mine! I'm at a little over 3K presently, and in years past, I was always around 6-10K by this point! So I'm worried I don't have enough excitement to get me through, because even in those good years, I'd hit a major slump around 20-35K.

I feel some of my characters are OOC too. I try to give them distinct speaking styles, but I'm weakening and having some of my austere, formal characters say things like, "Yo, what's up?"

You've done way more than me. What planned on being an honest, straight forward re-telling of my year is turning out to a 'hell, how do I write down all this hurt in a fictional form?' session instead.
I'm allowing myself to be distracted by UNI assignments and good fiction, which only makes me feel all the more guilty lol

BTW - thanks for adding me ;)
