I'm ok. I was gainfully employed for two months. Woohoo. And no, I didn't get fired, or quit, they just didn't extend my contract past Christmas.
Note my initial leeriness of the name Sookie. But I shall go see what can be seen. We don't really have any money for books right now that aren't in the charity shops (we've found some great finds there), but I shall at least look.

Has your brain turned to mush yet? Or have you had hysterics over the idiocy that is US law? What type of law are you thinking of specialising in? Do immigration law and make it so my hubby doesn't have to pay obscene amounts of money for us to move back! Or go into politics and make health care cheaper! I was talking to a customer about how the US can't have nationalised health care, not really. But, the federal government can set up an office to oversee STATE health care, and leave most of the details on state level and just get the big guys in control of making sure the individual states don't do stupid shit. Subsidising! Have most of it funded by national taxes, but state taxes cover salary and office space. It's a republican solution to a democrat goal. The state oversees the everyday stuff, the federal government makes sure the state isn't abusing the citizens. Of course, Obama has to fix the budget first. I hope Bush hasn;t screwed it up so much Obama gets blamed in the history books.
