hmmm..
I'm soooo bad at this. So no, I STILL don't have pictures up and I swear my friends are never gonna let me take video or pictures again since they just end up rotting in my camera haha.. But seriously.. I guess I haven't been motivated to post anything up cause I feel like no one really checks this stuff anyway.. This blog started on the notion that it would be a "diary" for myself but then everytime I even THINK of writing, I go, ehhh. I'll do it later. Only I'M gonna read it anyway.. But maybe if I felt I had some readers, MAYBE... JUST MAYBE I'd update this more often.. We'll see.. I'm also finding other ways to motivate myself to share my life cuz seriously, how am I supposed to get readers if I MYSELF don't even wanna put the time and effort into sharing what's goin' on.. Right?
So today, I was surfin' youchoob and all I could think to myself is, what a GREAT time to be an artist, an activist, a person that has a lot to say, basically anyone that wants to be seen or heard.. Cuz youtube totally makes the world a lot smaller. It's craaaaazy.. I find myself watching people I don't know singing, dancing, acting, or simply vlogging about their everyday life.. And I am watching them. Why? Because. They are regular people just like ME. Living the same way I do. And it's interesting to see what other people are doing with their lives.. It's GREAT. And I'm soooo ready to get back into that circle again.. I always have these huge GAPS in between my blogging and vlogging, and I really want it to STOP. So here are some people that have motivated me to get back into the game due to their own videos who YOU should actually check out as well if you have the time..
Bri3jet - She's a great artist who I am honored to have shared the stage with at a Christmas show for FBC Church here in Vallejo.. She's incorporated vlogging into her singing vids which I think is really cool.. Most of my vids on youtube are just singing ones with the exception of my ONE retarded vlog which somehow sparked one of the editors at youtube's interest enough to feature it as an editors pick for a whole week. And in that one week, I almost got 100,000 views for that vid.. I guess hearing what someone has to say is more entertaining than hearing someone sing a song they've already heard on the radio millions of times.. So seeing that has given me the idea to do the same.. Thanks Brij!
Oh Godddd.. I can't find the link to her youtube nor do I remember her naaaameee.. AGGGH. It was Kira something.. She won the Doritos song contest thing.. Meh. Anyway.. Her story was pretty cool.. And the cooler thing about her channel is she has it stated that she will post a new vid every Monday.. Now I know it's really farfetched for someone as untimely as me to be able to stick to a deadline like that, but I think it's a good idea! I'm gonna try and shoot for posting a new vid every SUNDAY. mmmmm. Wish me luck!
HappySlip - And of course, my all time internet star idol! HAPPY SLIP!! I've been watching her since my friend Mike Yra introduced me to her URL and I've been hooked ever since.. That was still back in my PYC (Pilipino Youth Coalition) days I think, and that was YEARS ago.. But aside from her usual comedic vids, she's actually doing something else that I've always wanted to do.. And that's advertise for the MOTHERLAND.. Yep that's right.. I wanted to be like a somewhat ambassador for the Department of Tourism for the Philippines and for sure she totally took that job before I could.. She's got a couple episodes up on YouTube on her trip to the Philippines.. It's craaaazy how filipinos are popping up everywhere in the entertainment industry nowadays, we're finally getting recognized.. And what great time to solicit the Philippines as a wonderful destination for a honeymoon, or family getaway, or just expose the dang island for what it's worth.. I hear people traveling out to Thailand, Japan, and all these other Asian countries, but the Philippines was always at the bottom of the list for travel.. I wanted to help my homeland by trying to boost up the economy with heightened tourism.. And although I couldn't be the first to do it, I'm at least glad SOMEONE is.. And it totally motivates me to share my travel experiences too since I LOOVVEE to trabel.. HAHA. I was gonna erase that and spell it right but I thought I'd leave the fobbish way of spelling that for shits and giggles. =D
There were a couple more YouTuber's and bloggers I came across but I figure I'd stop here since I'm lightweight goin off a tangent.. Besides, it's about to be 2 in the morning and I gotta be back in SF by 6am. What's funny is, I totally came online just to check my online class and somehow I always find a way NOT to participate.. Already I've missed two assignments and ahhhh. I'm sooo bad at time management.. haha. Hopefully we see an improvement within the next couple of weeks.. Wish me luck guys! =)
