Ranting this way and that
Back home from the visit, thanks all for the good wishes. I purposefully didn't take the comp with me, then I remembered what a bunch the extended family is, hopelessly provincial, incredibly presumptuous and unapologetically boisterous about it. Ack.
To change the topic abruptly and to something completely unrelated, I'm writing this fairytale AU for Thor. Though I'm pretty certain that fairytale in this case is blatantly misleading for something so dark. But the thing is, it is so different from how I usually write. Most of the time we normally jot down bunch of dialogues with Ice and then play connect the dots and fill in the gaps. This one requires more atmosphere, more description, more tell not show to resemble that trope-hogging, flowing style of lore. It's basically like drawing art instead of writing script, inasmuch that I have to do a lot of drafting, and then rewrite it a gazillion times til I have the best words for the purpose I can think of, and it's pretty damn time-consuming and repetitive and actually tiring.
It also makes me incredibly frustrated with the fact that English is not my mother tongue. You have no idea.
And to conclude today's random ranting, have a song. Because I can't stoppp.
