VII and X are my two favorites, but everyone and their mother touts VII as the most groundbreaking RPG to have ever RPG-ed. When I found out that VII placed second, I wasn't expecting it to have been beaten by X. I don't mind it, though. They're both great.
I started VI and VIII and didn't get all the way through either of them. VI is one of those I wanted to play but never finished because of how terrible the PS1 port was. VIII I didn't want to touch with a ten foot pole. Valkyrie Profile is easily one of my favorite games of all time. Chrono Trigger was alright, but I don't think it matched up to all the hype that surrounds it.
I always figured that Symphonia did a little better in America than it did in Japan, due to how desperate RPG fans were for an RPG on the Gamecube. I didn't realize the difference was that drastic. O.o I think Tales of Phantasia is the only other Tales of title that doesn't make it. The rest are all there. Ouch.
Totally disappointed at the lack of Star Ocean. I figured at least the first or second one would be on there if three didn't make it.
