As someone so invested in the written word, in texts, in textuality, it is hard not to be moved by that.
Last random thought: I was struck by how ambiguous a character Autor is. He's at once pompous, unthinking and clueless (when Fakir tells him that Drosselmeyer visited him, Autor's response is "cool" not "Oh fuck" like it should be...). And yet, by the last episode, he is a devoted ally, risking his life to fend off the last remaining Bookman so that Fakir can finish the story. This struck me as inexplicably lazy for PT actually, that his motivates/cause for this sudden change aren't even explored at all. But perhaps I'm missing something.
Ok. Jumbled thoughts over.

ep 21
Autor "the books with their endings stolen by those who stop stop stories from becoming reality. After they seal away the original script, all we can get are copies. But a power strong enough hat it must be torn out if yo uwant that power, I'm not averse to helping you.
Autor: "A long time ago the spinners of stories had a evergreenoak in Goldcrwon Town that they used to test their power. When the midnight bells stopped ringing, and someone touched the tree if they had power, they would hear the voice of the oak. That was the proof of their power. By the way, I have clearly heard the oak before, as a faint, distant voice. However, if you have no power, I'm sure you'll hear nothing but the sound of the wind."
"The tree was cut down long ago and only a sprig remains here, below the museum. But ther eis one stone here that is best as a point to initiate contact with the oak."
"there were many who failed to make contact and were sucked into the tree, losing their life."
ep 22
autor: "This is some sort of mistake! When I did the genealogical investigation, he was definitely connected to Drosselmeyer. But I had to tell him everything he knows about it! I know what it isw that you people are. I want you to recognize that I am qualified for this! By those whocan stop stories. By those of the books."
Bookman: "Only qualification is to be someone who is alive."
Autor: "So he's the one. Then for what purpose was I born?"
Bookman [from the used bookstore] "We are those of the books. If you are trying to spin a story using Drosselmeyer's power we must stop you. Our ancestors were the ones who cut off Drosselmeyer's hands so that he could never write again. If one of his decendants is going to try and spin a new story we must bestow the same fate upon him. Thati sthe role passed down to us through generations."
"Dangerous stories must not be born. Those stories that are born must have their conclusions buried away. They must be stopped.
Bookman: "The man who toyed with people's livesand broke down the wall between sories and reality this is that man's grave. We will cut off both your hands and seal them away here."
Autor to Rue: "I can't live without loving you anymore. This feeling isn't made up."
"Before Drosselmeyer lost his arms he had built a mechanism to allow hi mto continue to spin his stories even after his death. This town is controlled by the story using that mechanism but we cannot even tell what i story and what is story. However, in drosselmeyer's story, PRincess Tutu, a role that no one should have taken appeared and tried to protect you. And now Princess Tutu has been captured by Drosselmeyer. The story may now be at a stage where we should not try to stop it. That means the one to fight it is the one who shares his blood."
ie F's opponent is not hte raven but D's story itself
B: Can we trust that you are someone who would not try to manipulate the story itself.
ep 23
D to A: "You're no longer the same Duck who wished only for the prince! You loved hte prince, nad wanted to be with him, right?
Tutu: "I became a human girl and learned so many different feelings.
ep 24
"Once upon a time, a man died. What the man wrote was a story about a happy prince who loved eveoryone and was loved by everyone. The people fought amongs themselves, each wanting to be theo nly one loved and the evil ravens pecked at their hearts. The more the people loved the prince and wanted to save him, the better their feelings tasted to the ravens. Finally the ravens thought they would like to eat hte heart of hte pince, more delicious than any other."
Autor to F: turning a story into reality and recording reality are the same power--if you are inexperienced of course your writing will be pulled towards reality, but if you are powerful, reality begins to follow your story--and so freely manipulating everyone's fate would be a simple task!
F: even though i couldn't write a word of mythos' story the story to save her just flowed out of me.
F burns the story he wrote to save Ahiru because it is now over--she said she wanted to read it, the story he wrote for her.
Rue: M is in pain b/c of hte raven's blood.Raven's blood hurts people, even the ones they love. The more you love them the more it hurts them.
ep 25
Once upon a time thre was a man who spin tales into reality. the people fearing that tragedy would become true cut of his hands. with his own blood he wrote his own story, one in which he would continue spining tales after his own death.
Autor resentful at helping F--unclear how F convinced him b/c last scene was F saying he needs his help can't do it w/o A's knowledge and A says why would i want to?
D to F: You can't write b/c you are trying to take responsibility for your stories. Stories can only be written as you wish, honestly.
autor: was drosselmeyer here? how wonderful!
F to Ahiru: Everyone's scared of the story ending of returning to their true selves. They've become accustomed to their roles in the story. The real you is a duck. The real me...The real me has actually been protected by others since I was a kid. I can't protect anyone. But even if that's my true form I want to make the story end! Not by the role that has been imposed on me. I want to protect you and Mythos with my own power! Even if I use up all my power!"
A: I'll return to being a duck, I won't be able to study ballet with everyone else.
F: Isn't that ok? That's your true self. Even if that happens, I'll always stay by your side.
A: Fakir makes the weak me stronger. Always [and they dance a pas de deux]
F: Let's go back to our true selves. Not only for Mythos' sake, but for our own.
NOTE: we can't be our true selves w/o each other.
ep 26
Fakir upset that Ahiru is being brutalized by ravens and he can't stop it via writing attempts to leave but Autor convinces him he must write the story and end it since he is a useless knight.
last bookman, untransformed, comes blaming F's inexperienced power --will lead to unforseen tragedy. when he is about to cut of F's writing hand, Autor tackles him and screams "Fakir, write!"
F: w/o losing hope, the power came deep from within her body,
M: that light, what burns in my heart every time i see Tutu
-the light grasps the heart of all those who are controlled by monster raven
F: I'll write the rest. Prince you should live freely, as you wish.
M: The raven's blood probably remains within me too. Even though I'm supposed to love everyone, the one I love the most right now is Rue.
