I have a question, but it's probably really stupid so I won't publicize it BUT I'M REALLY CURIOUS. Instead, I have been staring at my Y!M friends list. I really only have four people added onto this thing. xD Three of whom are younger than me, and then there's Kiyumi. So, Kiyumi. You should get on sometime, so that I can ask you my question. \o/

Katakana is awesome |DDDD No seriously, it's pretty much my favorite thing ever now. I mean, even with hiragana it's still a Japanese word, so you still might not get it even if you can read it, but with katakana, it's probably English!! I started it after hiragana too, but it's a lot easier to put into practice, I think |DDDD especially if you're reading manga/blogs/things :o KANJI ARE EVIL THOUGH D:

I've always been meaning to teach myself katakana for a while now, but I've just kept putting it off. xD I can't even fully read blog entries, because they keep adding in kanji and throwing me off a;lskjf;as It's always 'minna-san kanjikanjikanjikanji' or 'kanjikanji arigatou kanjikanjikanji shimasu'
I was able to read the whole first line of Halu's recent blog entry (which was asking what kind/who's HAPPY BIRTHDAY it was), and I'm thinking "sweet, maybe I can read the whole entry this time 8D." but then I get to the next line and it's ALL KANJI urg. I never did find out what sort of birthday it was. /sadface
(also, Hosogai, it is okay to write in English sometimes, yes? :D just sayin')

XD fair enough, I managed to learn them super fast but only because I was in Japan at the time |DDD I sure can't read blog entries all the way either, unless I look up the kanji or cheat |DDDD Or if they're SUPER SHORT and they're the kind of entry that are like "hello, I'm still alive, bye." WHICH HAPPENS SOMETIMES :/ And sometimes they use stupid unnecessary kanji! Like MAO >( WHY WOULD YOU USE 綺麗 INSTEAD OF きれい. UGHHHHHHH.
Haha, nice! ...yeah, all I'm getting is that it's the one year anniversary of something? I looked up the kanji and it was like... 華組. Hanagumi? Flower... Association??? IDK o_____O

ah, because Halu is a part of gekidan EXILE hanagumi, and it was their one year anniversary? I was already assuming it was going to be an anniversary of some sort because of the way he phrased it.
(Hosogai tends to be one of those types who writes longer blog entries, and I'm just sitting here thinking "you can speak fluent English, so why can I never understand a single thing that you blog?! >(")
