Ever find yourself adoring a side character over the main character? I mean like, not just 'Oh, I like this person better' but in a 'God, the main character in this movie/book/game/whatever sucks. They should've worked more on his best friend/rival/love interest. They're way more interesting.' kind of way. I mean just really beginning to loathe the main character.
And then your favorite character dies and the main character kinda notices, but only long enough to tear their hair out and wail about how the person died too soon and then be comforted by someone who they then immediately make out with?
Yeah.
Sometimes I want to through all the DVDs and bookbs and stuff I own out the window and learn to knit or somethng. >>

Is it just me, or is it really hard to find any original fantasy writing online that isn't a goregous elf/half-elf magic-user making out with a human fighter/ranger/barbarian? I think those must be the only races and jobs in the entire world. -.O
