Quarterly Update
I'd like to update more often, but I just can't make any promises. This summer has been full, very very full. In the coming weeks, I will be taking a trip to Ohio for a family reunion, followed by a trip to New York with my friend Amanda. I've never been to the city, and she has family there that we can stay with. I am quite excited about this! I was planning on going on a cruise in October over fall break, it was even booked, but my friends pulled out on me (understandibly though), which is disappointing to say the least. I am not mad at them or anything, as I said, I totally understand the reasoning, and hey, that's an extra $500 that I can put into savings or toward my credit card bill or something. I just feel that that was my last opportunity to go on a vacation with any of them since starting in January my life will not really be mine anymore and I'll be on a completely different schedule from them. Maybe we can at least take long weekends at Jenny's lake house or something (sorry jenny for inviting myself!)
In other news, I've made friends with an international student this past semester, and he's leaving to go home tomorrow and it's kind of sad. I'm excited to be his pen pal though, I've never had one of those before. He can work on his english and I can work on my dutch. So far, my dutch vocabulary consists of one word, and I can't even spell it.
