I need to do this more often
I'm going home this weekend and I cannot wait!!! It wasn't long ago that I last went home, but that weekend I was sick and slept the whole time, so, it's a good thing that I'm going home. The down side is that this weeked I will have a LOT of work to do since I have 2 tests next week, along with an Education project and normal homework. I'm going to do my best to get some of that done ahead of time, but I'm not sure exactly how much I can get done.
I've started going to the classroom, and I'm so excited about it! I'm working in a 7th grade science classroom, and it makes me anxious to become a teacher. The students all call me Ms. Bryant, which makes me feel old, but excited nonetheless. Since I was out I ran errands today. I went to the laundry mat to do my laundry because I hate fighting for washers here, but I will NEVER do that again. First of all, all they have is the extra large washers and clearly I was not going to wash my whites with my darks. Second, I was doing oh so well on my paper when this one man came up and started hitting on me. He kept asking me for my telephone number, even after I told him I was not single and that I lived with my boyfriend (the second part is not true), and I was not interested. More than anything it was the disruption from my work that bothered me. He asked me to go to the grocery store with him, and that was quite random.
Anyhow, after that, I came back to campus (my dorm) and now I'm at work getting ready to go to Staff Meeting # 1. Oh yay!
School's been going well, though I am worried about my math class. Somehow, I just don't really understand Non-Euclidian Geometry. Who woulda thought that it was possible for triangles to have more than 180 degrees?
