the end of a friendship era

New information hath come upon me.
John's girlfriend who I judgementally didn't like is coming to Darwin (with her brother) to get this: drive down to Sydney with John!.
That's awesome!! It goes to show this girl could surprise me and turn around a be a good thing for him :) It's not my fault my friend is such a moronic pushover.
I've made this entry public. I figure since I diss the crap out of her in a public entry I might as well retract my words in public as well.
I guess it's a "slightly tentative she could be ok post anyway" as I don't know yet if she paid for the trip or John did. If John paid she still sucks :) If she paid then she passes the test :) Not that my approval is needed, although I do remember John saying to me one day
you do realise if you or simon didn't like anyone I dated then I would break up with them. It's not worth losing your friendship
Of course.. breasts have been known to make a friend forget he said things like that.
Not that I would ask him to break up with her, I want overall for John to be happy. I just want him to be happy with someone who will treat him the way he deserves to be treated. I guess I get overprotective sometimes... but that's a good thing right?
I think he deserves someone who will treat him like Brendan treats me. Or the way I treat Brendan. I'm lucky I'm in such a fantastic relationship.
John & I don't talk much anymore, it's a combination of both our faults and the changes we are going through. One day you lose touch with the people who meant so much to you once upon a time. He is turning metro and looking for something else out of life. Me I'm content with life and focusing on the future.
Fingers crossed we all find what makes us happy.
