the 68th annual Golden Globes
Since tonight the Golden Globes will be airing, and since I'm obsessed with award shows, I decided to make some predictions on who/what I think will win as well as who/what I would like to win. Here goes!

BEST PICTURE (DRAMA)
I was absolutely torn by which film I wanted to win. In the end, though, I'm happy with the winner. It was pretty obvious that The Social Network would win, either that of The King's Speech.
BEST PICTURE (COMEDY/MUSICAL)
I was so happy with this! The rest of the nominees are awful for the most part, and I abhor the entire category if we're being honest. (I mean, come on! If the film was good enough, it would've been a contender for best picture in general - no categories!) But The Kids Are All Right was brilliant and I'm so glad it won.
BEST ACTOR (DRAMA)
I knew it! Colin Firth is one of my favourite actors, and although I haven't seen this film yet the scenes I've seen him in are absolutely stunning. He deserves it!
BEST ACTRESS (COMEDY/MUSICAL)
I loved Emma in Easy A, but honestly Annette Bening is amazing and she completely deserved it.
BEST ACTOR (COMEDY/MUSICAL)
I hadn't seen the film Paul was in, but I love him so I was like, why not? I honestly didn't expect anything out of this category since I - once again - dislike the whole 'comedy/musical' thing.
BEST ACTRESS (DRAMA)
This one wasn't very shocking. If she hadn't won, now that would have been a tragedy. SHE WAS BRILLIANT, absolutely mind-blowing in that film. I can't get over it. So glad she won!
SUPPORTING ACTOR
A little shocked and disappointed with this one. I wanted everyone except Michael to win because they all deserved it (sorry, Michael but everyone know its was a pity nominee). But I adore Chrisitan Bale, so I'm happy with it. I really thought Geoffrey Rush would have gone home with this one since that film is so well-reviewed. Jeremy was my favourite part about The Town, he was great. And oh, Andrew! It was a tough category, little Bambi, and if this was a perfect world you would win all the awards.
SUPPORTING ACTRESS
II figured, why not? The film actually does look good, so yippee. I love Helena, though.
DIRECTOR
I was a bit unsure about who would take this one home, since both Darren and David did such amazing jobs. Happy that David won, though. The direction of that film was gorgeous, but I still wish it would have gone to Darren.
ANIMATED FILM
No surprise here, but happy it won.
SCREENPLAY
HELL YES. Totally deserved it. The screenplay was one of the best - if not the best, aside from Andrew of course - parts of the film.
FOREIGN-LANGUAGE FILM
This one was up in the air for me, so kudos to the winner anyhow.

YES. I was so happy about this! I loved the music in this film, so stunning.

I would've thought for sure tat they'd go for the cartoon, but whatever. I haven't seen any of these, nor do I especially want to (except maybe Country Strong, but purely for Leighton & Garrett), so whatever. And I do love Cher, so, okay.

BEST TELEVISION SERIES - DRAMA
HOW COULD MAD MEN NOT HAVE WON? I love Boardwalk Empire, I do - but Mad Men is the best show on television! I just can't believe it didn't win, ugh. And last season was so amazing, too!
BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A TELEVISION SERIES - DRAMA
I feel like Kyra wins almost every year, so I was like, okay. But I would have loved for Elisabeth Moss to win! Better yet, why wasn't Christina Hendricks nominated? That woman is perfection in every way. I am happy for Katey Sagal, though.
BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A TELEVISION SERIES - DRAMA
I just knew he would win! I've only seen the show a few times, and it's amazing, but my heart still belongs to Breaking Bad. I am happy he won, though, because I do love him.
BEST TELEVISION SERIES - COMEDY OR MUSICAL
Oh fuck Glee. I was actually kind of pissed about this. I mean, I love the show - a lot. But this season has been awful, and compared to the other nominees? Just no.
BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A TELEVISION SERIES -COMEDY OR MUSICAL
I was a little unsure about this, since I only watch 30 Rock and Glee, but I would have loved for Tina to win. She's hilarious!
BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A TELEVISION SERIES - COMEDY OR MUSICAL
I honestly thought that Steve would get it since he's amazing and it's his last season, but I'm so glad that Jim won! He is fantastic and is an amazing actor/comedian.
BEST MINI-SERIES OR MOTION PICTURE MADE FOR TELEVISION
I've only seen The Pacific, so I wasn't quite sure what else to guess, aha. But after seeing some clips from Carlos, I absolutely have to watch it!
BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A MINI-SERIES OR MOTION PICTURE MADE FOR TELEVISION
I had heard Claire Danes was great in that, but I didn't know if she could compare to Judi Dench.

It's Al Pacino, come one. I haven't seen any of these - only clips, actually - but I love Al a lot. So, yay.

FUCK YEAH. If anyone else had won, there would have been a riot. Because she deserves it and so much more.

There was nothing that really shocked me this year, or made me rage - at least not a lot, there were a few moments. But overall, I was content with the awards this year, probably because so many deserving people were given awards and there were so many brilliant people and films and shows nominated.
Now I have to wait until the Oscars, which will be quite difficult.
