When I've had my fill of michellemalkin.com, salon.com, crooksandliars.com, and all the fun blogs they link to, I sometimes check out fluffy pop culture stuff, still. My former addiction to gawker.com ended long ago and now I never go there.
One site I go to frequently for movie and TV news is comingsoon.net, and today I saw this headline:
"Nielsen Steps in for Hargitay on SVU"
My heart leaped. Surely, the only "Nielsen" able to fill the shoes of uber-butch Mariska Hargitay (who's her gf???) would be Brigitte Nielsen.
Wrong.
Connie Nielsen? My heart fell. Visions and Chris Meloni (WOOF! HOLLA LOL) gettin' tough on the perps with Brigitte getting tougher had swirled into a beautiful existence, and then were shattered.
Chris and Brigitte gettin' a beer after finding the body of a butchered porn star.
Shattered.
Chris and Brigitte seething with sexual tension as they investigate a blood-and-cum-splattered Manhattan penthouse.
Shattered.
Chris and Brigitte crackin' wise about a strangled tranny hooker.
Shattered.
Brigitte Nielsen deserves a break. I still mourn for her never-made She-Hulk TV Movie.
