This week has been unspeakable hard. My faith in my country, my friends and my faith has been shaken to the core. My world has turned upside down. I've been barely able to eat or sleep. But I thought you, my sane friends, deserve an update.
My hubs had surgery on Tuesday and his recovery has been slower than we expected. But, hopefully, he'll be back to his ornery self soon.
We bid on a new house and it has been accepted. Now we just have to sell our current house, which we suspect might be soon since we have an interested buyer. The transition will be difficult and emotional but I am in love with our new place. It's a cozy cottage built in 1925 and right across from a lovely golf couse. We have a gorgeous view from our front porch and hubs can walk across the street anytime he wants to hit a few balls.
My sister - one who doesn't speak to me - is having hip surgery next week. Since she lives alone (and I am a complete muffin-head) I offered to stay with her a few days to help her out. That should prove interesting.
Only the love of my f-list has kept me going (I see you,
myhnabird and will write back soon).
mvernet has been working with me on a Christmas story which has helped to keep me distracted.
Here's a vid to make you smile.
