So about to head on to the first of this round of exams, and its a 3 hour one on programming... what a kicker. Anyhow, I can look forward to the beer afterwards. Everyone seems to be doing exams at the moment which I guess kinda makes sense but I do wish they wouldn't put them all together. Everyone doing exams at the same time inevitably means you know about 3 billion people who've had their last exam before you and thus are free to party and relax and dance. This cannot be a good thing. Jealousy's a bitch.
In other, thrilling news, I've discovered a couple of new and really quite good bands.
Both roughly in the same vein we start with "The Boy Least Likely To". The songs these fine gents put out sound so beautifully innocent and childlike you can't help but be happy. They're all poppy (but in the good way, pop doesn't have to mean naked or swearing) and cheerful and they sing about Panda Cola. One cannot ask for more.
Secondly we have "The Brunettes". A similar indie-pop un-pigeon-hole-able band of fun, these chaps seem to comprise of equally male/female vocals, often with rather lovely duets. They sing about love and happiness, and strangely make me think of Grease and other 50's singalong musical classics :)
All in all, two really quite credible indie-pop fun happy bands, most suitable for summer and life in general.
I'm going loopy loopy,
Over love. (Loopy loopy love)
Yeah I'm acting stupid stupid,
Cos of love. (Stupid stupid love)
Gonna kill me a cupid,
Oooh. (Cos a cupid causes love)
Yeah I'm loopy loopy loopy,
Over love.
