Sun is shining? Bring out the ska!

My last post was ages ago and I've been to New York since then and made my pilgrimage to CBGBs and it was amazing. Birth place of underground rock n roll baby. I have this week off from my desk job because I fancied a change of scenery so I'm working at the pub again for the week and its entirely not a good thing for my liver but nevermind.

It's sunny outside hurrah! But I'm decorating my room (still) so I guess I'll just pop on some ska ... all gravy! :) God I have so much junk though, I've literally filled 4 big black bin bags and I'm about halfway through it all... Hopefully when its all finished (double bed baby!) I'll be able to get back to my guitar, its been so long I miss it.

Going to London on Sunday to see Me First & The Gimme Gimme's (support from Capdown!) which is doubtless going to be a day long affair of party with the good girl Elley, go team for hangover on my first day back at work on Monday morning! :) And Ross on Saturday, Ross on Saturday! YAY finally, pizza beer wine cartoons pub party it'll be ace!

There's something strangely theraputic (or however it's spelt) about tidying and sorting your room. It's like, you can feel as though your entire world is a whirlwind of crazy and madness, but then you tidy your room and everything is in order. I should do it more often, too much whacky makes my head hurt. Whacky and Whiskey also. Similar words, similar effect.

Someone stole my iPod whilst I was working in the pub the other night... Well, they stole my bag from behind reception and it was found and handed into police the next day sans iPod and (bizarrely) my belt (I had a change of clothes in the bag). They left the brand new expensive New York bought jeans. Result, I guess. Being music-less when walking about town is damn annoying though. Curse the noise regular society makes! It is dull!

Have been thinking of spending the summer in Spain with Maddie working in a bar on the beach and sunning oneself. May need to lose beergut beforehand as I feel it may be a tad unattractive. But yay for bars and beach and sun and not being in Felixstowe at least for a short while!

Have a crush on a cute girl but she's going away soon. Drats.

Ska is great though.

The sun is shinning bright outside
I think I'll go for a ride
I plan not to ever return
Lets run away from here for good
Forget this dusty neighborhood
The open road is calling and begging for us
Go roll down the window
Go crank up that radio
Lets drive until we hit the sky
It's not about where we will go
Lets start living life before we die
